While Paris Burns – Bob O’Hearn

“What we see happening is a cultural clash, starting centuries ago as a struggle between competing branches of the Abrahamic sects, and now representing a broader global conflict… The problem is only exacerbated, of course, by the manipulations of the global corporate elite who play all sides against each other for profit and control advantages. These parasites actually fund much of the overt military confrontations, and fill their boardrooms with charts on military-industrial profiteering gains from their investments in the darkest human propensities..” ~ Bob O’Hearn

Screen Shot 2015-11-15 at 9.37.12 PMIt appears now that the transmitted infection (of fundamentalist-based belief systems that thrive on division and conflict) is systemic, and regardless of any countermeasures, it will likely prevail for the indefinite future.

In other words, there is no viable solution, except perhaps for it to eventually burn itself out like the Influenza Epidemic did a century ago. That is, what may be required is for humanity to grow so weary of endless warfare and ideological/religious fanaticism that they finally simply stop fueling the horror with a collective “NO MORE!”

For that to happen, a revolution in the collective consciousness would need to transpire, and there are always seeds of that sprouting up (particularly with the advent of social media) — voices calling for peace and a recognition of shared humanity. Given the current climate, however, that global transformation may still be some time off.

One other outside possibility is for some sort of “external” intervention, although such a scenario is more in the “deus ex machina” category, and hence rather unlikely. It seems humans are going to be left to work out their own issues and either mature beyond the sandbox or face self-annihilation.

What we see happening is a cultural clash, starting centuries ago as a struggle between competing branches of the Abrahamic sects, and now representing a broader global conflict between forces of positive evolutionary planetary advancement (composed of mature adults who have outgrown the old divisive myths and learned the value of cooperation and self-responsibility) versus those who would turn civilization backward to a primitive fundamentalist mindset (one which promotes an infantile level of spiritual development) relying on a magical male parental deity figure and his authoritarian representatives to prescribe how adherents must live their lives.

At this point, demographers note that the greatest growth in global population is projected to be among those who sympathize with the latter strategy.

The problem is only exacerbated, of course, by the manipulations of the global corporate elite who play all sides against each other for profit and control advantages. These parasites actually fund much of the overt military confrontations, and fill their boardrooms with charts on military-industrial profiteering gains from their investments in the darkest human propensities.

Some say that in marital divorce proceedings, the lawyers are the only real winners. in the same sense, these behind-the-scenes controllers are the only ones who really gain from the global flames which they so industriously fan.

Given that, what must we do? The answer is the same as it has always been — to first take responsibility for all within us that perpetuates greed, anger, envy, hatred, and separation, and thus become a living example of the alternative to the darkness, by awakening to and radiating the loving light of which all are made.

From there, we are much more capable of responding within the sphere of our own influence with genuine wisdom and compassion, and indeed it is only in that way that we can hope to make a significant dent for the good in this mounting crisis.

  1. Excellent thoughts here “Given that, what must we do? 2. Thank you. I’m very tired of reactions stemming from ignorance which serves to fuel “all within us that perpetuates greed, anger, envy, hatred and separation”. This is an old problem, older than Abraham, maybe as old as humanity (I believe it is). The only permanent solution is for each person to realize it’s not “Je suis Paris.” It’s “Je suis ISIS.” And stop.
