Every manifestation of Nature is a magical unfolding– each flower, person, planet, animal and tree- a unique and precious gem…
Most of us see the Universe this way from time-to-time, but not always. Often, the biggest challenge we face is to live and breathe this perspective, to step outside the door each day and experience our life on this planet for the true miracle it is.
We can come to know ourselves as an integral part of the Cosmic Dance. As our awareness opens, we become more grounded and in tune with our walking, breathing, physical movements, relationships and the flow of creative activities.
The wisdom of ancient sages and teachers can guide us. But the words have little meaning without successful practice and implementation- learning how to be truly grateful, becoming more and more patient, gentle, mindful and peaceful inside.
We each need to find our path- a way (or ways) to calm the mind, open our hearts and ground our awareness in the here and now. Yoga, meditation, prayer, tai chi, running, cooking, aikido, dancing, gardening, painting, piano playing, walking- there are countless paths that can provide opportunities for mindfulness practice.
Once the ego steps out of the way our creativity flows with a more natural rhythm and movement. No thought of self, just letting Life express its own self-organizing creative nature, like how clouds move, flowers grow, and rivers flow…
Our lives can then become works of Art – where we learn to bring that natural creativity and mindful attention to all we do- to our careers, social relationships, cooking, writing, driving, caring for children…
In Truth, we are not the limited individuals and social roles that society tells us we are. We are each like dynamic cosmic flowers unfolding, our actions and movements a creative manifestation of Universal activity.
We are the Children of God, Life, Spirit, Nature, the Tao– capable of expressing that wisdom with all that we do…

“See simplicity in the complicated, Seek greatness in small things. In the Universe, the difficult things are done as if they were easy.” ~Lao Tsu, Tao Te Ching
“If you see yourself in the correct way, you are all as much extraordinary phenomena of nature as trees, clouds, the patterns in running water, the flickering of fire, the arrangement of the stars, and the form of a galaxy. You are all just like that.” ~Alan Watts
“People normally cut reality into compartments, and so are unable to see the interdependence of all phenomena. To see one in all and all in one is to break through the great barrier which narrows one’s perception of reality.” ~Thich Nhat Hanh
“You are not IN the universe, you ARE the universe, an intrinsic part of it. Ultimately you are not a person, but a focal point where the universe is becoming conscious of itself. What an amazing miracle.” ~Eckhart Tolle
“Free from desire, you realize the mystery. Caught in desire, you see only the manifestations.” –Lao Tsu, Tao Te Ching-

Hi Christopher! This is beautiful! I was wondering if you might know who the artist is of the picture right below your headline – it’s absolutely gorgeous and I would love to contact the artist. Thanks!
Sorry that I do not know. I found the image online in 2014.
I have lived this way for the most part of 50 years when I first read The Teachings of Don Juan at 15 years old in 1974. It brought me to follow the path with heart. Love your work!
It a wonderful website
